This weeks snowfall in Southern California was absolutely beautiful. I say that as I write from a warm house where there is electricity (now) and is well stocked with food. I am able to get out to run errands as the snow has not come so far down the mountains that there is even a hint of white within miles of my home at this altitude.
But last night we lost power for ten minutes, stories hit the news indicating that there was so much snow that all north-south arteries into and out of SoCal were closed due tom snow and a quick glance at the distant white capped mountains made me wonder if there were any real snow made emergencies where amateur radio save the day? Have a story to share? Let me know and we'll tell the world.
