THIS IS AFTER THE FACT, BUT THE NEED IS CLEAR.

If the fire storms in Southern California over the last several days haven't been enough to inspire you to seek training in emergency communications, then maybe my suggestion that all amateurs NEED to have proper preparedness skills as part of their capabilities. Amateur radio and service in an emergency go hand in hand.
